"All Nations Tavern" At the end of Ponsonby Rd
They have started hosting open mic nights on Tuesday evenings. The owners of the bar (formerly Java Jive) are behind NZ music and are after musicians wanting to be a part of a bar band. If this sounds like you, go along for a real English pint and have a chat to Peter Hardcastle.
"Blue Zebra Bar" K Road
Starts this Thursday and hosted by the fantastic and lovely Chelle who used to host the open mic nights @ The Temple.
@ The Blue Zebra right next to Brix Cafe and Bar on K'Rd - just along from Brazil.
Every Thursday starting 10 June @ 8pm.
For more info just turn up or email Chelle at
missgeevous@yahoo.co.nz
- put open mic in the subject line.
more additions soon...

Indigo Bar on Cuba St has Tuesdaynight Rockcradle. Basically ring up about 3 weeks before you want to play and you can play that night. You also get $100 for playing and a $50 bar tab for the band. And if you get a good turnout then you get invited back for support gigs of bigger bands, etc.
