the little peavey scorpion amp I used in the GON has developed a mains hum when you switch it on.   Does anyone know how to, or know someone good and cheap who could fix it?  Lips sealed
gots to get my old guit sound back.  Cry

Is the hum happening on a particular channel or all the time?

Are any pedals etc connected that are powered by plug packs?

May as well cross off other possibilities before paying to fix the amp.

the hum starts as soon as you switch it on, and its totally independant of volume knobs on channels or anything.
its a straight grounding problem I guess. somehow some mains is leaking striaght into the speaker/amp.
