I watched the news last night, and guess what, it's a civil emergency in Tauranga, and woe is me, I have to go there today.  I blame the government, they should be regulating the rainfall.  And charging it fines for falling too much in one place.  Peoples houses have fallen down landslides.  My Mums house hasn't, I asked her this morning, however she did get very wet when she went outside to check.  It's probably Americas fault, damn them and their global warming.

It was freaky seeing those picture in the herald this morning of houses that had slide down their street by a few house numbers! You'd think houses were built with stronger foundations than that. Then there was house that collided with another house which stopped it from slipping into the river... Shocked Shocked

It's not all doom and gloom... I couldn't get to work since both bridges to the mainland from the Mount were closed!

Did have to sandbag my pal's house though, and spent much of the day watching firemen rescue idiots that drove their small cars into a metre and half deep water at the end of my road.

Hah, that would have been great fun to have seen that.
Shame about all the damage but, our papamoa office got flooded out.

Flooding affords other interesting opportunites...like drinking beer on your rooftop watching other mortal fools swim to work (or as I once saw, kayaking to work). Excellent...Cheesy
