Biography
:

The Gods of Nothing ( the GON) are an Auckland based originals rock band.  The band is a three piece consisting of Mark Rawstron on guitar and lead vocals, Glen Coulter on drums and Jisung Park on bass guitar.
Glen has a natural talent for drums developed from when he was 10 years old and gives the band a solid backbone. Mark has a developed front man style since fronting 3 album band mailbox skipole for 5 years.  Glen and Mark are cousins and form a tight combination and have been writing and developing the sound of the GON since 2001.
Park met Mark at sound engineering school in 2002 and has been laying down solid bass lines in the GON since mid 2003.
Recently, The G.O.N. have impressed audiences with catchy songs and a captivating live rock act combining classic and alternative rock styles. Think the Datsuns and the Darkness crossed with Green Day.  They progressed to the regional finals of the battle of the bands 2004 with good crowd response.

Mark, Park and Michelle Klaessens also formed the Rock Factory studio in late 2003. Recent recordings include Redmore, Sonic, Miscreant, Infall and others...
Rawstron also works on production of concert music events.

The GON have produced at 8 track EP called “Beer”  recorded at the Rock Factory.

As seemed likely, Glen has now confirmed that he'll likely be in Welington for the next few years.
.. so GON pretty much.. well.. gone.

So comes the time of Jandal Days.?

I'm organising a jam with 4 totally new people:
Mark from GON.  guits , vocs
Carl from Sushi .. drums, vocs.
 MichElle.. Keys, vocs.
and a lead singer/song wirter type Jamie Gilbert ex yokel/nana squad on bass and vocs.
and old friend of mine from palmy north now in ak.
so.. 4 vocs. drums, bass, guit, keys.  could be a crowded house. Shocked

That is gunna be some random jam.  thing some  Roll Eyes might be required.

Got no idea about the songs.

at the mo we're planning to get together for a jam.. play some covers for fun and practise and have a go at whatever originals people are keen on.
I've got a few new ones that I'd like to jam.  one rock song, one rock/punk, one mellow/pop.  Jamie say hes been writing mellow acoustic stuff so who knows.

I'm thinking of trying some stuff with multiple vocs and key parts.  Some classic split enz is on the list ... no idea what else we'll get into.
 should be fun as.
