3/ Promotional Opportunities

Devonport's new web radio is launched!
A station dedicated to community and promoting the arts. Jam Radio is
located within the Depot Artspace, Devonport's artistic hub. Programmes
ready for the radio's launch include punk, poetry, folk, blues and local
music, literary readings, and interviews with artists, writers and
musicians. The presenters and technicians are volunteers, the majority of
which hail from the North Shore. The programmes will be available for
on-demand streaming or download online at www.jamradio.co.nz.
The facility is open to all that have an interest in creating media for
radio. There is an emphasis on people being encouraged to take control of
the whole production, through scripting, compiling and presenting, to
recording and editing. This is an outlet for people to self educate through

Demos wanted for NZ On Air funding applications
Beaver Studios are looking for acts to submit demos for development towards
a $10,000 NZ On Air new recording artist grant.
Successful applicants will have a strong selection of songs to draw from and
a commitment to developing their career over a 12-18 month period. Your
music will fit either Rock, Pop/CHR (contemporary hit radio), Hot A/C (adult
contemporary) or Urban radio formats. Initial development phase will be
subsidised but you will be able to contribute a minimum of $1500 excl. GST
towards hard costs of developing the application - including recording and
production of a track for submission (refundable if you are successful).
High quality demos are not necessary - we want to hear songs and potential.

The aim of this course is to offer a frame work for students to
progressively build upon their knowledge of voice over 6 weeks, and harness
various techniques and exercises which are designed to release the voice and
develop resonance, strength and texture.
Sally's approach eclectically draws from her 13 years of voice work and
voice study. She has studied voice in Paris with Enrique Pardo & Linda Wise
(from Pantheatre & Roy Hart voice work), as well as with various prolific
voice teachers such as Kristin Linklater, Patsy Rodenberg, Bert Vandijk and
Robyn Payne (NZ Drama School). Sally graduated from Toi Whakaari/ N.Z Drama
School in 1995 and has been working professionally in theatre, film and
radio for 11 years.


Internship With Ticket to Ride is one of Australia's leading music video and

An internship with Ticket to Ride will provide you with an unpaid
opportunity to develop your film production skills with Australia's most
prolific film directors and producers. You will gain valuable on-set
experience and develop an understanding of production processes within a

in the film industry. You must also have a valid drivers licence, although
