beatles question. Backward guitar on I'm only sleeping, twin guitar solo on and your bird can sing, first time an american r & B horn section played on an english track on got to get you into my life, first full on indian sitar on a non indian record, love to you. First time a beatle preformed a song on a beatles album with only one beatle on it. Elenor Rigby.
First song openly about dr*gs but not first drug song, doctor robert.

I am so clever.

Correct. Applaud Cozin Jim.

only german guitarists I know are  Michael Schenker and Rudi Schenker

well the lyrics are Since you've been Gone by Rainbow, which was sung by Joe Lynn Turner in his spell in the band before Graham Bonnet took over and everything went to custard.  But neither of them are scots Sad  And it can't be Dio either... bugger.
Michael Schenker is correct. Applaud. Cheesy

Lol, thats cool, its sounds Scottish....  I've been there once or twice, they had a big holiday camp there called Butlins (think Hi-de-hi... erm if you got it here that is....)

Just a useless piece of trivia to throw in.  I saw Schenker on the tour that Graham Bonnet was doing - only he was thrown out a couple of days before the gig we saw, Gary Barden came back to finish the tour, he was the only real MSG singer anway  Kiss

And the reason why Bonnet was thrown out?

Schenker had a rhythm guitarist but he wasn't allowed to be on-stage, so he had to play offstage, Schenker had/has an incredible arrogance and didn't want anyone else to get guitarist credits.

Bonnet was pissed one night (most nights I seem to remember) and he grabbed the rhythym guitarist and pulled him out onstage and introduced him to the audience.  Sacked on the spot....

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. He is one hell of a guitarist but definitely is one weird cat. Heard the story  of how when he was touring with UFO about 8 years ago he and his girlfriend picked up a hitchhiker on the way to a gig and so weirded out the hitchhiker that she jumped from their moving tourbus, thus forcing UFO to cancel a bunch of gigs while the police investigated?
Would've been cool to see him onstage with Gary Barden. I like Bonnet but agree he was the best. Robin McCauley and Oni Logan, his 2 latest singers are in my opinion bloody awful.

More questions.

1. Name the Bald man on the cover of the Beatles Sargeant Peppers album.

2. Name three songs that feature a stuttering vocal line

3. Which band opened Live aid in the USA (not live 8, the original)?

4. Speaking of live aid and and charity singles, some Americans jumped on the 'Do they know its Christmas' bandwagon name....
1. the song
2. the writers

5. Anyone old enough to remember such brat pack classics as 'The Breakfast club', 'St Elmo's Fire' and 'Flatliners'? Name the song and artist in the opening credits of the movie 'Less than Zero'.

6. He got sued by Kiss for his original makeup design and wrote a Christmas song "No presents for Christmas', he is?

7. Don't know if I posted this one before.... He invented the coral sitar and Bellzouki, as a session player he was at one point in 9 songs on the top 40, he played the fretless bass part in Twin Peaks. He is?

8. What colour, make and model was slash's guitar in the video for "You could be mine"?

9. Name the blonde lead actress in the 60s rock and roll movie "The girl can't help it", bonus point name two artists in the film.

10. Name the Winger song featured in the film 'Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey'

1. no am pretty sure McCartney had hair at the time though many people say he has been wearing a wig for years..... The guy I'm thinking of tried to climb Everest, wrote a book called Moonchild and got thrown out of Italy when one of his followers died from drinking cats blood.

2. Correct, still several more if anyone wants to add to the list, mostly a late 60s - 70s thing, and adding live versions of Zeppelin songs doesn't count or you'd have to add their whole back catalogue. Cheesy

3. According to my list on live aid no it was someone else

4. Totally on to it.  Lips sealed

5. Yep, thats the one. Smiley

6. again correct. Cheesy

7. Maybe one people have to google, no clue given on this.

8. Correct.  Lips sealed

9. She lost her head, literally. No clue on artists.

10. its googleable so no clue.

Cool, so thats 1 applaud and an IOU 5 applauds? am too tired to work it out at moment.

Nah, I am one of the "bro's", but not talented or good looking enough to be part of the Royle Family Lips sealed

Tim introduced me to you up at Shadows if that's what you're referring to  Roll Eyes

1 is correct, applaud  Lips sealed

2. also correct, still a number of other songs out there.

9. Indeed it was Jayne Mansfield, the drunken truckers alternative to Marylin Monroe, not unlike Anna Nicole Smith. Very similar assets in any case....  Undecided Cheesy
Not a terrible rock and roll movie, it actually had a story line, based round organized crime muscling in on the jukebox business.

Man I'm owing a lot of applauds.
