Well, I'm kiwi born and breed,
but my Dad's Dutch (but grew up in Belgium) and my mums Chinese (but grew up in the Philippines)... Her ancesters fled from China to the Phillippines. I look fairly asian, but I have thsee tall blonde haired, blue eyed cousins and second cousins in Europe. I find this amusing and cool. Family reunions (though not very freq due to distance) are lots of fun, and require lots of hand signals (lots of different languages spoken).
My parents met on a plane, and wrote letters to each other as penpals for two years before meeting up again, and deciding to get married. (aint that sweet!) I found some of my dad's romantic love letters and poetry the last time we were in the Phillippines.
Where are your parents/ancesters from?

My dadsa father was born in australia, the rest of my family are kiwi but we originate from Britain, Ireland and Italy as far as I know.
There could be some Maori in my family way back on dad's mum's side but I'm not sure.

My ancestors are from Earth. Mostly.
More specificly, my parents and grandparents were all born in NZ. I was born in Oz. My great grandmothers grandfather, apparantly, was from Ireland and jumped ship in Autralia and had three illegitimate children to a half aborigional woman.

As far as I know the main bits of me are Irish, French and Samon, however most have been born in New Zealand for the last 4 or 5 generations.

I was born in England, moved here when i was 3. Mum was born in southafrica but are originally from England, dad and his side are from england aswell. So pretty much my entire family is british (except my little brother who is a kiwi). Have Irish, English, and Italian bloodlines though.

parents both grew up in England. My brother and I were both born over there and I came to NZ when I was 6. within the UK pretty much sums up where my ancestors are from geographically. 'From' in other terms makes for more interesting reading.
My Great grandfather on my Father's side came from an interesting place. He was a groundsman for the local lord of the manor and lived till he was 96. I think in this day and age he could have been a reality gameshow monkey or something or at the very least a very successful small time crim. My two favourite stories bout him are 1. He accidentally shot a man in the arse once while out poaching his boss's pheasants. The other man was a poacher too so he got round losing his job by saying he was only protecting the manor. The courts made him pay the man's medical costs though. He did this by taking his bicycle (keeping in mind few people had cars those days) down to the local quarry and holding a raffle for it with the miners. He made enough money to pay expenses, buy a new bike and had enough to buy a years worth of whiskey left over. 2. On his first wife's deathbed great grandather, now in his early 50s, meets up with a nurse about 25 years younger than him and the two start dating. It is a callous story but without the old bugger pulling some younger bird while wife 1 croaks my grandmother would not have been born and I wouldn't be here.
He was a tricky old bastard who bought an expensive bungalow on the edge of the forest, one cash payment, on retirement. My grandparents were not so savvy. Everything he passed down to them they spent on booze and gambling or hawked off to pay for bingo (including a first edition of John Bunyan's Pilgrims progress with close to 300 years of family geneaology scrawled onto its front cover).
On my mother's side they were all Irish folk who came over in the potato famine and opened market stalls. My grandmother was the last one to work a stall though (apparently she was running a greengrocer's stall and shop my great grandparents set up) and, since she has died, I'm not too sure what has happened to it.

My geneology is mainly maori on both mum and dads side but if you go back far enough (quite a few generations back) theres pourtuguese(sp) and scottish. It's quite funny, alot of people think I'm from India because of the mix of my maori and pourtuguese features. My scottish heritage is starting to come out now aswell, both my kids have reddish hair. It's not fair, I want natural red hair!

No exciting storis from me
My mum is 8th generation kiwi, my dad is 8th generation bajan who came over here with his cousins when he was 18. He has about 70 first cousins (they breed a lot over there apparently!!) so I'm pretty much almost related to half of the damn island!!
Not so great for if I want to move over there....!

Mixtures rule! Yeah, I'm amused when filling out the "other" catergory on application forms. And no one can pick my mix most of the time. I always get blody spanish/italian or south american.
I suppose at the least, I'm not hideous.
