Dave Mustaine is my idol, and has been for a while. Not just because of the fact that he writes some of the most technical songs ever know, but also becuase every time crap kicks him down, he gets back up with more aggresion. Yea, thats my 2 cents. "The arsenal of Megadeth couldn't be rid they said"

Kudos to the man, he's both a ginge, and got kicked out of Metallica. If that doesn't kill you.....

Yeah Dave Mustaine is a legend. Seeing him recently on the SKOM DVD (briefly) you really get a chance to see a glimpse of what the man has been through. I'm a big fan of Megadeth and from a guitarist's point of view, it can be a lot of fun to play. Mustaine and Friedman are probably up there on my list of major influences.
Personality wise he's a bit of a fuckwit but hey the music is great. He's been through a lot and I thought maybe we'd seen the last of him when he had that accident and was told he'd never play again.
Big ups

Yea, i thought it was the last of him too. But he had f**ked nerves in his arm, couldnt move it. And then managed to write an albulm like 'the system has failed' thats spirit man. But yea, he can be a dick with what he says I think the media pushes him in that respect though, good old media trying to sell stories

But yea, he can be a dick with what he says I think the media pushes him in that respect though, good old media trying to sell stories How many times has he been sucker punched by the media? Not like an intelligent man to be fooled so often? No, He's not a dick, he's typical of a great many rock stars out there. Also he is opinionated and gives a sh*t about things Good on him I say

The guy cracks me up. He's pretty up himself half the time (or is that all the time?), but he's definitely entertaining.

I'm not so much of a Dave Mustaine fan, more of Marty Friedman fan. I don't really listen much to any of the albums pre 'Rust in Peace'. Although you gotta admit the mans pretty resilliant(sp) no matter how many times he gets kicked in the head, he just keeps gettin up!
